Department Description:

The Automotive Market Business team is responsible for the development of Xilinx’s leadership strategy and business results for the automotive market. This includes silicon, solutions (including IP, software and development boards), ecosystem partner, and customer strategies. This group is also charged with maintaining and continuing to build the XA (Xilinx Automotive) silicon product line, including both inbound product definition and outbound marketing. It is ultimately responsible for managing long-term strategic OEM and Tier One customer relationships and continued profitable/predictable growth of the automotive business. The Automotive business segment team is made up primarily of automotive OEM, Tier One, and semiconductor industry veterans.

Brief Position Description:

The Automotive Tactical Marketing & Operations Manager, will report to the Automotive Market Business Director, and will have one or more direct reports to aid in carrying out his/her responsibilities.

The role is focused on Xilinx Automotive product line management as well as forecasting, tracking, and reporting on the automotive business. Responsibilities associated with product line management include outbound (customer) cradle to grave product management, internal product change requests/management, new part introduction, product quality/RMA tracking (working with Xilinx customer quality organization), and customer fulfillment issues/escalation. Responsibilities associated with automotive business tracking and reporting include customer/project opportunity tracking/management, monthly product forecasting, long term revenue forecasting (working together with the Senior Automotive Strategic Marketing Manager), and regular business reporting (preparation and delivery). The role includes working across several corporate organizational boundaries, including sales, customer service, business operations, finance, quality, and manufacturing operations. The role is crucial for the Xilinx automotive business in ensuring our products are available to customers when and as promised, and that we have the visibility and predictability in our overall business performance required for continued investment and growth.

Detailed Position Responsibilities:

• Xilinx Automotive (XA) Product Management
• Outbound (Customer) Product Change/Discontinuation Notices & Horizon Reports
• Regular change board meeting participation
• product documentation reviews/approvals (XA content)
• Customer-specific customized PCNs/PDNs as needed
• Inbound Product Change Requests (XA product plan of record changes)
• XA New Part Introduction Management
• Coordinate getting new XA standard and SCD marketing parts created and open for order entry (XPM, Compass Book Pricing, SCD Request Tool, PPAP Request Tool, Qualification/OOE schedule)
• XA product datasheet and user guide input to docs team for part releases
• Quality/RMAs Tracking (w/ customer quality group)
• Shipment/priority escalation management (when necessary)
• XA Tracking/Reporting/Forecasting
• Sales Opportunity Tracking/Management
• Monthly XA Product Forecasting for Operations Material Planning
• XA Revenue Forecasting - Current Quarter, Following Quarter, Current Year, Next Year (2 year window)
• Long Term Revenue Forecasting (together with Strategic/Customer Marketing)
• Content and Presentation for all operational reviews, quarterly executive business reviews, and business results/market commentary.

• Consumer/Broadcast data mining support (as needed by Consumer/Broadcast segment leads)

• Quarterly Revenue forecast data assistance

• Quarterly executive business review data support

B.S. or B.A. or equivalent degree required (MBA preferred)
Experience in Semiconductor marketing and a working knowledge of the semiconductor business/and automotive supply chain
Automotive supplier/OEM, and/or automotive semiconductor industry, and/or other automotive supply chain experience highly desired.
Strong understanding of automotive customer Safe Launch is preferred
Experience in basic financial and data analysis (including development of bottoms-up short/mid-term forecasts and validation versus top-down market research), and development of relevant targeted materials for report out is required
Practical knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), automotive qualifications, and product change control requirements highly desired
Knowledge of automotive electronics market, trends, and applications required. Some familiarity of Infotainment, Driver Information, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems/Automated Driving applications is desired.
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation)
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a highly cross-functional and geographically dispersed organizations.
Must be a strong team player and very self-motivated individual
Must have leadership skills, and should have experience leading one or more direct reports
